We hope that so many volunteers register with your service that searching through them one by one becomes impossible!
Once this is the case you should use the extensive filters available to search for volunteers by going to [ADMIN MENU] VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT > FIND VOLUNTEERS
Searching By Name
There is a number of ways you may want to search for particular volunteer by name, this usually depends on the number of volunteers you have on the system.
Less than 100 volunteers
When you only have a few volunteers you may just want to view all volunteers, you can do this by simply clicking on the SEARCH button.
Less than 500 volunteers
By using the alphabet search facility (list of letters across the top) you can quickly search by the first letter of the volunteers name.
More than 500 Volunteers
When you have more than 500 volunteers it is best to type in the first 3 or 4 letters of the volunteers name or email address, then click on the SEARCH button. If you are not sure how to spell the volunteers name then just type in 3 letters you are certain of within the name and this will also work (eg. If you are searching for ‘Steven’ then you could type in ‘ste’ or ‘eve’ and the volunteer would still appear.
Advanced Search Filters
If you click on the TOGGLE MORE SEARCH OPTIONS button you will be able to filter volunteers by a myriad of different options. All these options are additive, so if you select the minimum age as 25 and select only DBS cleared volunteers and click search it will return all volunteers 25 and over who have a current and valid DBS.
Using this search method you can also perform many tasks on the volunteers that are returned, simply run the search filter (as explained above) then select the TICK ALL check box followed by the function you want to perform on the selected volunteers. This could include SMS texting, emailing, downloading a CSV of volunteer information or removing a group of volunteers.
