Once a volunteer has registered on the system, depending on your setup (SETTINGS > OPTIONS) they may have to be cleared by the administrator before they can apply for any opportunities. This is usually used when the administrator wants to speak to the volunteer by phone before they are allowed to join any opportunities. By clearing a volunteer their status will be set to ACTIVE.
Note: Alternatively you can set the AUTO ACTIVATE option to yes within the SETTINGS > OPTIONS. This will automatically clear and activate all volunteers as soon as they register so they can join opportunities right away.
To Clear a volunteer you must follow the steps below:
1. Find the volunteer by going to VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT > FIND VOLUNTEERS, and searching for the volunteer
2. Click on the information icon next to the volunteer
3. Click on the CLEAR VOLUNTEER button within the edit status section
Note: You can see a list of volunteers who require CLEARING on the administrators DASHBOARD (the screen which first appears when you login)
